Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, supposes that removal of the moratorium on the land sale shall be preceded by land inventory and market value assessment.
V.Lytvyn reminded that the Law had prolonged the moratorium on the land market till January 1, 2012. "To remove the moratorium, the laws on land assessment and land market shall be adopted," he stated.
"Almost all the land has been sold with the moratorium as a shelter", he stated. Therefore, apart from the parliamentary hearings on the land issues, the land inventory should be taken "to clarify the situation with the land ownership." "People should know the price for 100 square meters of land, as well as the fact that their land can not be bought for the price lower than the market value," he stated.
V.Lytvyn supposes that the land experts shall report during the parliamentary hearings "to reach a compromise."
